How horrible it would be to leave this life, only to learn that a simple, regrettable decision I made (or didn't make, rather) had such terrible and eternal consequences. All of us have an idea, a theory, of what Hell is like. But none of us knows for sure.

 

What we DO know is that it is forever apart from God. From the God who loves us. From the God who graciously forgives us. From the God who sacrificially sent his one and only son to stand in for us, to absorb the horrendous pain of temporary estrangement from his Father, God, so we wouldn't need to be eternally estranged.

This rocker trues to describe the excruciating pain of knowing he didn't respond when he had the chance. And now it's forever.
