PLAYER PIANO PLAYER

00:00 / 01:55

Full song:

Short sample:

00:00 / 00:42

I remember when I was.a kid we would visit my cousins' house. In the basement was an old player piano -- you know, the kind that had a perforated cylinder with musical notes punched in. Somehow, when you pumped the pedals, the cylinder would spin and the piano would play the music all by itself.

I used to enjoy watching in awe as the keys moved on their own.

Of course, all the music they had were old ragtime tunes, from the era when player pianos were popular. I wondered whether the guy (gal?) who pumped the pedals in the saloon or moving picture theater was a celebrity of sorts. So I wrote a fun satire... hope you like it. I always do.... it reminds me of those fun days as a kid in my cousins' basement.
